Kabal Raid Guidelines (Hellscream)

Kabal Raid Guidelines

The following are raiding guidelines for everyone to follow. While we are a casual guild who likes to have fun, we wish to have everyone follow these rules as it will make things run smoother during a raid and decrease our downtime and making things more efficient

Ventrillo

Everyone must have ventrillo installed and in the raid channel. If you do not have a mic, it is still required so you can hear the raid leader speak (http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php)

CT Raid Assist

Everyone should have the latest version CT raid installed. Please check this the night before if it is not a patch day (CT Mod - http://www.ctmod.net) or (Curse Gaming - http://wow.curse-gaming.com/en/)

Raid Leader

The raid leader and an assist will be designated before the beginning of the raid. If they make a call, please follow it and do not argue during the raid. We will be visiting this instance again and alternate tactics can be discusses offline .

Vent chatter

Please keep vent clear during pulls. This means if you start taking damage, you don’t need to let everyone else know. It is difficult for the raid leaders to make important calls if there is unnecessary chatter in vent.

Target Order and Crowd Control

During pulls where multiple mobs are slept or sheeped, the MT or MA will assign the next target in order of the “symbols”. You should only damage the mob the MT or MA is on at a given time. Should a sheep break while performing crowd control, please do not dot or use any effect that would otherwise break a new sheep unless called out by the raid leader. Our mages and druids will re-do there respective CC spells if broken.

Class Channels

We will be using class channels (IE EKwarrior). This is to coordinate amongst your class piers on who is casting what particular spell.

Healing and Damage Meters

Please do not use or post any damage/healing meters during the raid. Damage done is not a contest and can lead to stealing agro from the MT. Damage meters and healing meters will be reviewed after the raid to identify areas for change.

Buffs

If someone types in raid there group needs a certain buff recast, please state you are doing this in the class channel (IE If a priest calls out for an invigorate, please state in your class channel who is casting the spell. The first one who states so should be the only one who does).

Pullers

The raid leader will designate a puller if needed, and tell that puller when to pull. No one else should be pulling unless you have been identified to do so..

Triggered Events

Do not start an event unless you have received the all clear from the raid leader (IE voodoo piles etc)

Negative Actions

Negative talk – please keep this in personnel tells and keep “smart-alecky” comments to yourself. Vent is not the place for them. Some pulls do go wrong, and people sometimes do the wrong thing. Our goal is to fix the problem, not belittle someone for messing up.

Scheduled Start Time

Invites go in the following order:
1) Those that sign up on the site, are online and heading to or at the destination.

2) Those that didn’t sign up, but are at the site 10 minutes before the raid start.

**If you sign up and are late, we will hold a spot for you up to 5 minutes before the raid start. If you know you are going to be a few minutes late and let the raid leader know, you spot will be saved. Basically, if you sign up on the site and are there on time, you’re guaranteed a spot.

Raid Signups

If a scheduled raid is not 75% full on the web tool by 2 hours prior to it’s start time, the raid will be cancelled. We need people to sign up so we know what classes/characters are expected.

Be prepared

You should arrive to the raid with all your equipment repaired and necessary items in hand (candles, ankhs, weapons, resist armor etc). If you are not a MT or MA, please have bandages available and use them when you take damage.

Suggestions

If you have suggestion on encounters, please post them in the raid forum. The raid leaders will review this forum weekly and address any concerns or comment on new tactics. There are numerous ways to beat encounters and we need you help identifying alternate ways.

Job Functions

Jobs – Each player can have multiple jobs in the raid, even is that user is not spec’d that way (Example – we need another tank for an add, a DPS warrior may be called upon to help or we need extra healing, a shadow spec’d priest will be asked to heal, or dps shammy may be asked to heal.). Some guilds require certain specs, we do not condone this and will NEVER ask anyone to change there spec, but we ask you to switch roles when asked for the betterment of the raid.

The Most Important Part

We are a very close knit guild, build on the foundation of helping each other out. These raid guidelines will help us proceed through the tougher content in a shorter period of time, while maintaining the atmosphere we have grown to like. Remember, we are not a full fledged raiding guild, we are here to have fun but organization is the key to surviving those difficult encounters.
